Linda Sling Surprise Kit - WITHOUT Pattern - Please read description!

Kits will be a surprise - my choice of cork & zipper 😊 but feel free to add a note if you have a color preference (or a color you don't enjoy!)

BEFORE SEW ALONG on August 17 you will need to have all your pieces cut and labeled. The kit DOES NOT come precut! Please be sure to also purchase the sew along download from the patterns page.

All supplies in your kit are listed below:

(1) 18” x 27” + (1) 9” x 12” OR (2) 9” x 27” + 9” x 12” cork for outside

(1) 8 ½” plastic #5 purse zippers for closure

(1) 7” or longer #3 or #5 purse zippers for outside pocket

1/2” hardware set: (2) D rings, (2) swivel hooks, 1 slide

3 ¼” x 4” piece of 16ga clear vinyl for ID window

You will need:

Lining fabric - Fat Quarter cotton fabric + medium weight fusible interfacing for lining or WPC (see sew along download)

Closure for flap – Size 20 Fashion Snap to be demoed in sew along

Closure for back snap tab – Size 20 Fashion Snap to be demoed in sew along

(4-8) 8x8mm Rivets

All usual sewing supplies including clips, 1/8” double-sided tape, matching thread, rotary cutter, ruler, mat, pencil, lighter, seam ripper, etc.

Does not include pattern - You will download this on 9/1 after sew along concludes

1/8” or 1/4" non-fusible tape (I prefer 1/8”)

All Cork Emilie Mini Messenger adjustments:
To make the outside of the Emilie Mini Messenger you will need (1) 18x27 (referred to as solid) and (1) 9x12 piece (referred to as print) of cork.
From the solid cut (2) 2" x 27" and (1) 2" x 4" strips for the E pieces. Sew 27" pieces together to form long strip, fold in half and topstitch as directed in pattern. Topstitch small piece as well. No interfacing.
Cut the (2) A pieces from solid as well, do not interface or use fleece.
For piece B, cut 11" x 9" strip from print for front only. Cut a 1.5" x 11" strip from solid and sew to top edge of print before trimming with template. Do not interface or use fleece.
Pieces C & D and back of B will be cut from fabric as directed in pattern.

All Cork Lucy adjustments:
To make the outside of Lucy in all cork you will need (2) 18x27 pieces of cork. You will cut pieces marked as "Outside Main fabric" from cork (without interfacing). Those pieces are A, B, C & one D (for step 6, page 4). Cut the other D (for step 6, page 5) from fabric as indicated and interface. Cut E from fabric as well
