Zipper Phobia at Waterwheel House - December 10, 2011
Even the skeptics were pleased with the easy zipper technique we learned! Everyone left with finished projects. What a great day all around!
Couture Ruffled Clutch Classes - Waterwheel House Quilt Shop Londonderry, VT
I met Shelley Sas the owner of Waterwheel House Quilt Shop at the Wings Falls Quilt Show in Glens Falls, NY in June 2011. Not only does she offer AMAZING contemporary fabrics - Amy Butler, Kaffe Fasset, Jason Yenter & Michael Miller to name a few - she also has a great classroom area and the cutest shop in a restored farmhouse. We have done the Ruffled Clutch class twice now and wow what a terrific group of customers she has! Everyone leaves with finished bags - I told you they only looked hard!
A note from Shelley's Blog:
Our "Couture Ruffled Clutch Class" was a blast. The ladies finished their
bags and are planning to make more! Jessica VanDenburgh was a
dynamite teacher, everyone raved! We are planning a second class on Saturday,
November 5th for those of you who missed the August session. Stay tuned for
more info. Here are a couple of pics from the class.
Thanks Shelley!

Private Class - Celebrity 4-Patch Bag August 4, 2011

I was asked by a couple of my guild members to teach a private class for them. In 4 hours we all finished our Celebrity 4-Patch Bags! Yes, even I finished which usually doesn't happen while I'm teaching. My gracious host even treated me to dinner and some delicious zucchini bread - not necessary but very much appreciated!
A few clutches...

My friend Joan decided to make just a few clutches for her grandson's upcoming wedding. 19 clutches to be exact! What lucky ladies!! Did I mention she's still making clutch bags? Soon the entire state of NY will have a ruffled clutch! : )
Market Bag Class - Flying Geese Fabrics August 18, 2011

One of my favorite patterns is the Striped Market Bag. I have made so many, each one a little different. This is a photo sent by one of my students. His daughters (who had sat in for part of our class) are modeling his bag. We had such a great time and I think I may have created another bag obsessed quilter!
